Service Project
March 17, 2007

On Saturday, March 17th, Heritage Park and Rich Park joined together for the annual ICO service project at Durant Nature Park. Bill Gernon led the trip. After a hands-on demonstration about the sources of water pollutants, the group hiked along the creek and picked up trash. Prizes were given for the biggest piece of trash found and for the most original and interesting stories about different finds. Afterwards, we huddled under a picnic shelter for a cook-out and played on the playground and in the parking lot with colorful balloons.
