During the 2004-2005 academic year, I took several courses through North Carolina State University's Department of Social Work. I received a wonderful introduction to social work from these classes and truly enjoyed the learning experience. Here is a picture from Rex Hospital's Nursing Care Center, where my classmate partner, Dena Powers, and I worked with our oral history partner, Mrs. Etra Wood. Over the course of the spring semester, we interviewed Mrs. Wood to develop an understanding of her life from a biopsychosocial perspective. This project was for SW 310 -- Human Behavior Theory for Social Work Practice -- with Nehal Outlaw.
