Raj and I drove to Asheville, picking Phuong up (at the Greensboro airport) along the way. On Saturday, Raj, Kapil and I went to the horse farm in Marshall -- Horse Sense of the Carolinas -- to learn about Equine Assisted Therapy. We toured the facility and silently met the horses; several Californians were there. We met Mai and Phuong in downtown Asheville for dinner, devouring local organic foods at the Early Girl Eatery. Afterwards, we strolled around town and then drove home, in Raj's Mustang, jamming to Usher.

We were so hungry, we forgot to take pictures of the delicious Southern food: grilled pork chops, hush puppies, baked chicken, eggplant dip, panfried mountain trout, greens, squash and cheese grits..mmm good!
